HIFU Skin Tightening in Logan, Brisbane

What Is HIFU Skin Tightening in Brisbane?

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) skin tightening in Birsbane is a safe, non-invasive cosmetic procedure that tightens and rejuvenates the skin. It works by delivering focused ultrasound energy directly into the skin’s deeper layers.

**As the energy penetrates**, it creates controlled thermal responses. **In turn**, these responses stimulate your body’s natural healing process and **gradually** increase collagen and elastin production. **Consequently**, the skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more youthful in appearance.

**Moreover**, HIFU skin tightening in Brisbane offers noticeable results without surgery, needles, or downtime. **Because of this**, it has become a popular option for those seeking non-surgical facial lifting and skin rejuvenation.

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a safe, non-invasive cosmetic procedure that tightens and rejuvenates the skin by delivering focused ultrasound energy to the skin’s deeper layers.

This energy induces controlled thermal injury, stimulating the body’s natural healing response and promoting collagen and elastin production. The result is firmer, more youthful-looking skin without invasive procedures.

FAQ For HIFU Skin Tightening in Logan, Brisbane

Yes, as long as the machine being used is TGA approved and the technician has received professional training it has been proven to be a safe and effective non-surgical treatment for skin tightening.

No! From personal experience I can tell you its not painful. (I'm a big sook!)

In some places it is more uncomfortable (jawline/masseter muscles) but it is completely bearable. It feels like tiny prickles.

Settings can also be adjusted up or down to suit comfort levels.

I personally think Laser is excruciating and its NOTHING like that.

I have heard of HIFU burns. This would be from cheap machines and/or unqualified technicians.

If its CHEAP just say NO!

The D stands for depth. There are ONLY 3 depths for the face available on the market. Any remaining depths relate to body treatments.

HIFU prices vary due to the below;

  1. Quality of the machine ie: is it TGA approved and purchased in Australia, or a cheap import from Alibaba?
  2. The area being treatment including the number of cartridges begin used ie: What depth is being treated? For lifting you want a 3mm & 4.5mm for optimal results.

Results can vary due to the quality of the machine ie: non TGA approved machines have NOT been tested or proved get results by Australian authorities.

All the talk behind the scenes is that HIFU absolutely works, but it depends on the machine! That means some machines just DON'T work.

Other reasons are unqualified technicians or wrong candidate for HIFU.

  1. Pregnancy and breastfeeding
    • Due to the unknown effects on the fetus or infant.
  2. Active infections or skin diseases at the treatment site
    • Including open wounds, severe acne, or eczema.
  3. Implanted medical devices
    • Especially pacemakers, defibrillators, or metal implants near the treatment area, as HIFU can interfere with these devices.
  4. Severe coagulation disorders or use of anticoagulants
    • Increased risk of bleeding or hematoma.
  5. Epilepsy or seizure disorders
    • As ultrasound energy might trigger episodes in sensitive individuals.
  6. Cancer metastasis or advanced malignancy (in cosmetic applications)
    • Cosmetic HIFU is not appropriate for patients with known or suspected metastatic disease.
  7. Photosensitivity disorders or recent sunburn
    • May increase the risk of skin irritation or burns.

We lose collagen in our skin at a rate of approximately 1% every year after the age of 25yrs. From the age of 45 our collagen loss is much higher (some studies saying around 25% and up to 30% in the first few years of  menopause).

The ideal age to start HIFU is 40yrs+. I recommend Skin Needling between 25-40yrs old.

The amount of  treatments you will need will depend on your age and amount of skin laxity present.

No more than 2 treatments at 3mm & 4.5mm every 12 months is recommended.

1.5mm resurfacing can be repeated monthly until desired results are achieved.

TGA stands for Therapeutic Goods Australia and is responsible for evaluating and assessing medical devices. Its role is to ensure the safety and effectiveness of these machines and services.

Generally, therapeutic goods must be included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG). This must be done before they can be legally supplied or imported to  Australia.

TGA approval is not cheap and TGA approved machines are not cheap to purchase, therefore treatment prices will reflect that.

You can check the TGA approval numbers to be sure a machine has passed TGA inspection. Apolomed - ARTG NO 357130
